Y
ou’re the unwitting goose in some wild goose chase
or some rat in some maze of some science lab race
and it’s changing so fast
and you’re constantly running
and one day it’s snowing
and next day it’s sunning.

You’re searching for help and it’s not too appeasin’
that even the ducks aren’t quite sure of the season.

And books that you’d bought for a sinful expense
you’ll sell back in exchange for about seven cents
and you’ll feel like a fool and jump out of your socks
when you learn the mounds just contain
tools and rocks.

And your doubts will be taken back off of the shelf
and what if you feel like OUTventing yourself?
And each possible cure’s nothing but a placebo
and when will they finish that silly gazebo?!
