Since moving to Madison Kathy has been catching up on activities with family and friends.  She loves to attend the band concerts that Eric conducts at Verona Area High School and also attends concerts, plays, dance recitals, and other activities in which our nieces Danielle and Erika participate.

Kathy had a lot of fun shoveling snow last winter, pulling weeds this spring, and doing other yard work in the summer and fall.  We did have some nice floral surprises last year and will probably make some changes to the yard in the summer of 2009...I mean the summer of 2010...I mean the summer of 2011...

Kathy has become more involved in bird watching again.  She loves to walk down to the lake and see the various aquatic birds that frequent the shores near our neighborhood.  Much to her joy she has discovered that our "lush nature yard" is occupied by many different birds as well.  Even when she's drinking her morning coffee and reading the newspaper she keeps her binoculars and Sibley's bird book nearby so that she won't miss anything.
