August 31, 2006 was my last day of work in the Land Quality Division of the Oregon
Department of Environmental Quality. My very
generous co-workers had three parties for me.
The first party was a nice coffee break with lots of goodies to eat along with "I Like Mike" stickers, a sing-along,
and $20 Anderson Bills (neither legal nor tender).
The second was held at the Rogue Brewhouse with beer, pizza, beer, lots of friends, beer
and a great slide show with pictures and clever quips from people all over the state.
The third was an afternoon ice-cream social where I was given an extraordinarily beautiful
Pendleton Wool Blanket, a
Certificate of Appreciation from the Director of the Agency, and a great scrapbook of poems and photos.
