Beget, Begat, B'gosh!

Yesterday was the Anderson Family Picnic. I haven't been to one in over 25 years, maybe 30 years. (Yes, Kathy was brave enough to go with me!)

It was a bit strange at first. Except for nephews and nieces and their children, whom I've seen over the years on visits to Wisconsin, I don't think I recognized anybody under 40. Fortunately, it didn't take me too long to recognize some of the cousins and second cousins. They all looked a bit older and it dawned on me that they were probably thinking the same thing about me. A couple of relatives that I last saw when they were 10 or 12 had to identify themselves.

Here are the J. T. Anderson descendents
who were brave enough to attend the picnic.

I don't have much to report. The weather was excellent. The food was great (Kathy made deviled eggs and her world famous cake-like brownies).  We didn't win any of the raffled items. We put up a valiant battle in the egg-toss competition, but didn't medal in that event.

All in all, I'm glad that we went and we had a pretty good time.
